Round Robin
From August 2006 to May 2007, members of my quilt guild, Piecemakers of Vallejo, participated in a Round Robin - a progressive process of making a quilt. Participating quilters were divided into groups of six, with each person in a group submitting a center block of their choice. At the first "exchange" the center piece was passed on to another person in the group. That quilter added a border to the center block, and passed it on to the next person, and so on, until all six members of the group had contributed a border to each quilt top. At the May meeting, the completed quilt tops were returned to the original owners, who will now finish, bind and quilt them. Judging from the smiles and exclamations of delight, everyone appeared to be very happy with the results of this "Quilt By Committee" adventure. To see pictures of the completed tops exhibited during the "Show and Tell" portion of our May meeting, go to: http://www.moosevinedesign.com/rrgallery.htm

My center block - a painting by Batik artist Djon. I added a thin row of black batik and a wider row of black and white.
