Nature's clown - a Scrub Jay. At least a half dozen visit my yard on a daily basis and vie for the tray of peanuts I put out for them every morning. I never see them eat a single peanut, but over the years I've found dozens they've buried in every corner of my yard. Sometimes a peanut will sprout, sending up a beautiful spray of green leaves with delicate purple flowers. Ten thousand years from now, when global warming has done its thing and life has returned to a primeval state, what remains of my neighborhood will be buried beneath a tangled forest of peanut plants!
